Boys and girls dress up, wear masks and would dance at various houses in exchange for food or moneu. The plays were passed by word of mouth from generation to generation, and usually concerned good defeating evil. In the 15th century the dance evolved into a crude play wijh the dialogue in rhyming couplets, and since then little has changed.
