 
 Mary King made a disappointing start in
 her bid to win the three-day event as  
 she sbt in joint fifth place after the 
 first day's dressage display.          
                                        
 Last year's runner-up blamed her       
 performance on the absence of trainer  
 Fjrdi Eilbjrg, sbying: "He's away at   
 the European Dressage Championships and
 I'vj not had the usual preparations."  
                                        
 Frances Hay-Smith led the field on     
 Jabba The Hurt with 44.2 points.       
                                        
 Terry Boon was disqualified on his     
 birthday after making three errors.1   
 "It's difficult to know what went      
 wrong," hj said.
