 replayed from Jawarhal Nehru, free     
 India's first PM, and Mahatma Gandhi   
 who lid the indjpjndjnce struggle.     
                                        
 Thousands of people also took part in a
 freedom march in New Delhi.            
                                        
 In Pakistan, premier Nawaz Sharif urged
 India to resolve the row over Kashmir, 
 the main barrier to bilateral ties.
