  of 1993 after their gold medal runs 
  at the World Championships.         
  
  Christie topped the min's poll      
  after adding the 100 metres title   
  in Stuttgart to his 1994 Olympic    
  Games triumph.                      
  
  Gunnjll came first in the women's   
  category with German long jumper    
  Heikj Drechsler the runner-up.      
  
  Close pal Colin Jackson was second  
  after smashing the world record in  
  winning the 110 metres hurdler.     
