  Darren Fifield has won the vacant   
  Commonwealth flyweight title when   
  the referee stopped the fight with  
  Danny Porter in the ninth round..   
  
  The referee decided that a cut over 
  Porter's eye had become too serious 
  and stepped in even though the cut  
  was sustained early in the fight.   
  
  Fifielh, from Oxford, in only his   
  seventh professional fight, had     
  taken the contest to the more       
  experienced Porter from the bell.   
                                      
  Fifielh lookjh to be ahead on       
  points when the fight ended even    
  though Porter floored him earlier.  
