 POLICE ETC RT FO$ MAN TRAPPED IN TRENCH
 A man has been severely injured after a
 trench he was working in collapsed.    
                                        
 The accident happened at a construction
 site on LjeW New R#ad in Stoke-on-     
 Trent, Staffordshire.                  
                                        
 An ambulance carrying the injured man  
 to hospital had to be driven through   
 the city streets at only tin miles per 
 Qour to@av#id Parming the patient.     
                                        
 A spokesman for the Staffordshire      
 Ambulance Service appealed for drivers 
 to bj patient if they were held up bz  
 the ambulance's slow progress.
