But just who is on the receiving end is a matter of some doubt. "Miners snub Red Mick," says the Daily Mail, "ut, claims the Daily Mirror in its early editions: "Miners snub King Arthur." But most papers agree the main story is the decision by miners not to strike over the planned closure of the Kinneil pit in West Lothian. The Daily Telegraph reports that the drop in the mortgage rate and plenty of interest-free credit have raised expectations that all sales records could be broken.
