 The Romanian deported from Britain in  
 controversial circumstances a month ago
 is now in an Austrian refugee camp.    
                                        
 Mr Stancu Papusoiu is seeking political
 asylum in Austria, where he has spent  
 some days in police custody because he 
 failed to follow proper procedure.     
                                        
 He arrived in Austria on April 6 after 
 being given a passport and ordered to  
 leave Romania, having been returned to 
 Bucharest bz Britain on March 16.      
                                        
 He has been taken to a refugee camp    
 south of Vienna. Outsiders have not    
 been allowed to talk to him so far.
