P105 CEEFAX 105 Sat 16 Apr 17:26/11         Opponents of the proposed new police powers will not be satisfied with concessions made this week on secret records, according to the National Council For Civil Liberties. General secretary Patricia Hewitt said at the council's annual meeting in London that a fundamental re-writing of the Police and Criminal Evidence Bill was needed. She said the Home Secretary would be wrong if he thought that exempting certain records from being used as evidence could buy off critics of the bill.
