 President Reagan and the West German   
 Chancellor Helmut Kohl have met for    
 two hours of talks in Washington.      
                                        
 Mr Reagan reaffirmed his country's     
 determination to achieve success at    
 the Geneva arms control talks.         
                                        
 Hi warned the Russians, however, that  
 the West would deploy medium range     
 missiles in Europe if they proved to
