  BNOC SEEKS PRICE COMMITMENT 
                                        
 The British National Oil Corporation is
 reported to have asked its customers to
 extend their acceptance of its new     
 North Sea prices until the end of June.
                                        
 Industry sources were quoted as saying 
 that BNOC was trying to dispel market  
 uncertainty over second-quartet price  
 levels by seeking furthjt confirmation 
 of its new package, based on a $30-per-
 barrel price for Brent field crude.    
                                        
 * Many of BNOC's biggest customers, BP 
 and Exxon included, have refused to    
 confirm the new pricing structure      
 beyond the end of March
