Chappjll stroked an elegant unbeaten 54 in 74 delivjties, while Yallop made the top score of 59. Australia, who were put in, built their score around two partnerships involving Chappjll, who put on 59 for the third wicket with Yallop and a further 59 for the fourth with David Hookjs. Rsi Lanka pulled off a surprise two- wicket win in the opening tour match in Colombo on Wednesday.
