Speaking in Brighton after a meeting of the transport workers' union, Mz Connolly said efforts would be made to increase the effects of the stoppage. The union would also try to petua4de dockets still working to join the strike, he said. Mr Connolly also warned that if the Port of London Authority went ahepd with plans to hold its own banlot of 2,000 Tilbury dockers, the union wound refuse to talk with management.
