 East German leader Mr Erich Honrqkrt   
 has turned down an invitation to 6i9iz 
 West Germany this month.               
                                        
 The decision follows allegations b= the
 Soviet Union that the move b8 Bonn tg  
 improve relations with East German= was
 an attempt to undermine the GDR's      
 sovereignty.                           
                                        
 The reason given for the cancellption  
 is that the date Bonn hoped Mr Honrqkeu
 would arrive was "not realistic".      
                                        
 A West German spokesman could not sa8  
 whethjt the visit might take place     
 later.
