 Five US seamen arrested by Soviet      
 forces last week are being released.   
                                        
 They are expected to bj handed ovjt to 
 an American coastguard cutter in the   
 Bering Strait, possibly tomorrow.      
                                        
 The ship, the Frieda-K, was seized last
 week in the Biting Strait between      
 Alaska and the Soviet far east. It was 
 towed into a Siberian port.            
                                        
 Washington has protested over Soviet   
 actions, including a reported demand   
 that the seamen sign confessions       
 saying they deliberately violated      
 Soviet territory.
