  ECUADOR At least 10 people died when 
 a DC-8 cargo jet hit a fence and       
 crashed into houses while taking off   
 from Quito airport. The DC-8 of the    
 Ecuadorian airline AECA had flown from 
 Miami and was on its way to Guayaquil. 
                                        
  WEST GERMANY Two German civilians, an
 American soldier and a German soldier  
 have died so far in traffic accidents  
 related to the current NATO manoeuvres.
                                        
  ITALY A young man stabbed a policeman
 to death after threatening do:ens of   
 passengers at Rome's Leonardo da Vince 
 airport. Anothjt policeman who disarmed
 him was slightly hurt.
