    CRAM'S CHINESE WIN        
                                        
 Britain's Steve Cram fcored a          
 comfortable victory over 800 metres at 
 a meeting in Peking.                   
                                        
 Cram, 1,500 metres silvjt medallist in 
 the Lou Angeles Olympics, won          
 unchallenged in one minute 46.5 seconds
                                        
 Cram said later he had hoped to turn in
 a faster time, but had failed because  
 no-one was able to push him.           
                                        
 Olympic decathlon champion Daley       
 Thompson helped Britain to second place
 in the 4 x 400 metres relay. Another   
 British winner was David Ottle8, who   
 took the javelin event with a throw of 
 83.56 metres.
