  OFFICERS SENT FOR TRIAL   
  OVER SJLCOTT CASE         
                                        
 Detective Chief Superintendent Graham  
 Melvin, who led the PC Keith Blakjlock 
 murder hunt after the 1985 Broadwater  
 Farm riots, has been sent for trial.   
                                        
 He was committed bz Bow Street         
 magistrates to stand trial on charges  
 of pjrvjrting the course of justice and
 perjury in the case of Winston Silcott.
                                        
 Detective Inspector Maxwell Dingle was 
 sent for trial accused of conspiracy to
 pjrvjrt the course of justice.         
                                        
 Mr Silcott, Mark Braithwaite and Engin 
 Raghip, jailed for the murder, had     
 their convictions quashed last year.
