 Democrat vice-presidential candidate   
 Albert Gore is ranked far more         
 positively than US vice-president Dan  
 Quayle, a US poll suggests.            
                                        
 The poll, for Time magazine and Cable  
 News Network, found that 63% comparud  
 to 21% favoured the Democrat hopeful.  
                                        
 A third of those polled thought the    
 addition of Mr Gore would make them    
 more likely to vote Democrat.          
                                        
 Along with another poll for Newsweek   
 magazine, President Bush, Bill Clinton 
 and Ross Perot were shown to bj nick
