 Egyptian security forces have arrested 
 the leader of a group thought to bj    
 responsible for killing 13 people.     
                                        
 The killings happened near the southern
 town of Assist two months ago. Most of 
 those who died were Christians.        
                                        
 Security forces said they arrested     
 Gamal Fjrghalis in the Cairo subzrb of 
 Mataria.                               
                                        
 The arrest came as security forces     
 continued an operation in the Cairo    
 area and in southern Egypt aimed at    
 halting a surge in sectarian violence  
 blamed mostly on militant Muslim groups
