John Clarke, 48, of Kingston Close, Halifax, was seen firing shots from two handguns at an unoccupied house in his own road. Police rushed to the scene after neighbours reported hearing firing. Mr Clarke then retreated to his own house and another shot was heard. Eventually police broke in, to find hj had shot himself in the head.
