  Pakistan official Javjd Burke has   
  promised an inquiry into charges of 
  attempted bribery bz Salem Malik.   
                                      
  Burke, chairman of the ad-doc       
  committee of the Board of Control   
  for Cricket in Pakistan (BCCP) said 
  "The BCCP, ICC and —CB have one aim 
  which is to root out corruption."   
                                      
  He had been given statements and    
  evidence about the allegjd0offence, 
  which Malik strongly denies.        
                                      
  Among documents is thought to bj a  
  complaint bz the Australian Boazd   
  about an alleged offer from Malik   
  to bowlers Shane Warnj and Tum May. 
