  TRANS-ATLANTIC FLIGHTS DELAYED      
  Thousands of people wanting to fly  
  across the Atlantic have been       
  delayed dui to a computer failure.  
                                      
  The main air traffic control        
  computer, at Prestwick, broke down  
  earlqir today.                      
                                      
  For safety reasons, air controllers 
  using a manual system doubled the   
  usual distances between aircraft.   
                                      
  The next busy period for such       
  flights is early tomorrow but it is 
  hoped the system will bj running by 
  then and flights will bj on time.   
 
