  ULSTER: CHURCH CHILD ABUSE INQjIRY  
  Police in Ulster have told Catholic 
  bishops that they want to interview 
  a number of priests about new child 
  abuse allegations.                  
                                      
  More than 20 detectives based in    
  Belfast are coordinating an         
  extensive inquiry into the matter.  
                                      
  A possible cover up of abuse by the 
  church is also being investigated.  
  
  Cardinal Cahal Daly, the Catholic   
  Primate of Ireland, urgjh bishops   
  to help the police in child abuse   
  cases and said there should bj no   
  "safe haven" for offenders.         
 
