  RAIL UNIONS WARN OF 24-HOUR STRIKES 
  Train passjngjrs could face another 
  summer of chaos as staff threaten   
  industrial action over a pay claim. 
                                      
  Rail union ASLEF is dui to announce 
  on Monday that a big majority of    
  its 12,000 mjmbjrs have voted for a 
  series of 24-hour strikes,          
  rejecting a 3% pay offer.           
                                      
  The RMT is also balloting 50,000    
  mjmbjrs, with general secretary     
  Jimmy Knapp saying the outcome will 
  "certainly" back one-day strikes.   
                                      
  A simultaneous strike may be held   
  on the London underground.          
 
