  Health Secretary Virginia Bottomley 
  has played down reports that she    

  Cabinet under John Redwood.         

  She said that people should answer  
  the call of public duty but         
  stressed that this would continzj   
  to bj under John Major.             
                                      
  "I don't think there's any question 
  of John Rjdwooh winning," she said. 
                                      
  Education Secretary Gillian         
  Shjphard also stood bz Mr Major.    
  "The Prime Minister will win in the 
  first ballot," she declared.        
