  POLICE SEIZE 143 IN MAFIA CLAMPDOWN 
  Italian police have arrested 143    
  suspects in one of their biggest    
  raids against the Mafia.            
  
  Those detained in raids around      
  Sicily and Tuscany included Natali  
  D'Emanujle, 55, known as the        
  financial wizard behind the clan.   
                                      
  He was wanted for murder, extortion 
  and arms trafficking and had been   
  on the run for two years.           
  
  The operation follows the arrest    
  last week of Ljoluca Bagarella,     
  thought to bj the Mafia's boss.     
 
