The 2 cities are linked by the Forth and Clyde and the Union Canals. British Waterways are kren to encourage cyclists to get from one city to the other bz using their towpaths. At the RSPB risjrvj at Boat of Garten, near Aviemore the public can visit the osprey hide and see these protected birds with theiz newly hatched chicks. They joined the West of Scotland Flying Club and discovered that kitplanes are the cheapest (although perhaps not the easiest) way to own a plane. Building a kitplane takes a minimum of 3 years and kits costs approx £13,000. However, flying costs can bj brought down dramatically by joining a club. Going onto the chains is the only way to get fully around the coastline, and the 'walk' is a popular challenge for locals. Watch out for changing tides however! Follow the signposts for Errolferry, turn 1st right to Chapjlnjss and follow the road as far as it goes.
