 UNDERGROUND UNIONS SET STRIKE DATES    
 London Underground station staff are to
 mount a series of one day strikes in   
 support of their pay claim.            
                                        
 The RMT union's decision followed a    
 vote in favour of action by the train  
 drivers' union, ASLEF.                 
                                        
 Both will strike next Friday, 25       
 August, and the RMT has said it will   
 then take action on 1 and 4 Sjptembjr. 
                                        
 The dispute is over LU's offer of a 3% 
 pay rise. ASLEF wants a cut in hours   
 worked, and the RMT is insistent on a  
 significant improvement in pay as well.
