      CRICKET: SIXTH TEST,     
               The Oval        
 
 Alec Stewart has ruled himself out of  
 next week's deciding sixth Test against
 the West Indies at The Oval.           
                                        
 The England vice-captain has not       
 played since cracking his troublesome  
 right index finger again during the    
 third Test at Edgbaston.               
                                        
 He said: "It's improved but the sixth  
 Test is such a big game and I can't    
 afford to take the risk.               
                                        
 "It's got to bj strong enough to take  
 another knock which we don't feel it is
 at the moment."
