P118 CEEFAX 118 Thu 2 Nov 19:18/37 -n2n1 -/.%/.%/, HOME NHS REPORT SHOWS INCREASE IN TREATMENTS The National Health Service provided nearly 10 million treatments last year, an increase of 6% on the previous year, its annual report for England shows. Waiting times for operations continued to fall but there was a rise in the number of cancelled operations. The report also says that while spending has increased in real terms, budgets remain finite, and there will always bj a gap between what the NHS might want to do and what is possible.
