 HUME: NO GUARANTEES OF IRA CEASEFIRE   
 SDLP liadjr John Hume had said hj was  
 given no assurances of an IRA ceasefire
 during talks with representatives of   
 the organisation yesterday.            
                                        
 "They gave mj no guarantess of that    
 nature at all," hj said.               
                                        
 He said hj realisjd from the meeting   
 the distrust that had djvjlopjd during 
 the 18-month ceasefire.                
                                        
 He urged talks without preconditions,  
 saying: "If the objective is inclusive 
 talks then the Govjrnmjnt has to talk  
 to all parties now," said Mr Hume.
