Aamir Sohail had made a superb 111 earlier in the day as Pakistan set the South Africans a victory target of 243. The Proteas began their reply in confident fashion, however, they then lost Gary Kirsten and Jacques Kallis in quick succession. P342 CEEFAX 342 Thu 29 Feb 19:16/17   2/2  CRICKET: WORLD CUP,  (Grp B) Karachi  Umpire Ian Robinson was withdrawn from Pakistan's match with South Africa after the home side objected to him standing in the game. Pakistan did not give a reason for their objection to Robinson, who was involved in a controversial incident with their former captain Salem Malik. Malik was suspended for one Test bz the match referee after he accused Robinson of allegedly making the ball wet in the third Test in Harare.
