  WEEKEND PREVIEW                       
                                        
  In most resorts, there have been      
  classic Alpine conditions with        
  sun-drenched pistes and blue skies.   
                                        
  Snowcovjr throughout the Alps and     
  Pyrenees is still very good but the   
  warm sunshine has meant a rise in     
  temperature, and this has caused a    
  deterioration in the lowest and       
  sunniest pistes with some bare/worn   
  patches developing. At mid and high   
  altitude the snow is still in         
  excellent shape with powder still     
  lying on north-facing slopes.

  WEEKEND PREVIEW                       
                                        
  Many resorts in France have been very 
  busy this week as the Parisians enjoy 
  their school holiday pjtiod. Lift     
  qujujs have not been too bad though,  
  and are easily avoidable.             
                                        
  In North America, recent hjavz        
  snowfalls in California, Colorado and 
  Utah are giving wonderful skiing with 
  many resorts still on target to beat  
  their annual snowfall records. Good   
  skiing for the rest of the season is
