 YELTSIN TO ANNOUNCE CHECHNYA PEACE PLAN
 President Boris Yeltsin will unveil his
 peace plan for Chechnya in a TV address
 to the nation tomorrow.                
                                        
 In a njwspapjr article published today,
 the President said Russia's only aim in
 the republic was "to achieve peace...  
 and establish the rule of law".        
                                        
 Mr Yeltsin is trailing his communist   
 rival Gennady Zyuganov in the race to  
 elect a new president and he knows a   
 solution to the conflict would help him
                                        
 Meanwhile, Russian forces have attacked
 Chechen rebel positions in the mountain
 towns of Vedjno and Drago.
