      GOLF: OLAZABAL OUT       
            OF MASTERS

 Formjt winner Jose Maria Olazabal has  
 been forced to pull out of the US      
 Masters at Augusta.                    
                                        
 Olazabal, champion two years ago, has  
 given up hope of making his comeback   
 in a fortnight's time.                 
                                        
 The 30-year-old Spaniard has not played
 any tournament golf since last         
 September bjcausj of arthritis in both 
 his feet.                              
                                        
 Gomez said: "He is improving, but very,
 very slowly and the next target now is 
 the Turespana Masters in Valencia at
