P436 CEEFAX 436 Sat 30 Mar 19:11/02 1/4 WEEKEND PREVIEW Very mild weather has affected all resorts so far this week with afternoon temperatures as high as 19C (66F) at 1200m. Consequently, slush has been a problem with conditions more like water skiing below 2000m. Even ultra high pistes have been getting soft after midday but above 1800m, the snow is holding out. Cooler weathjt with some snowfall is expected to edge south today (Wjdnjsday) which should bring an end to the thaw at mid and high altitudes. So aim for resorts with most of their skiing higher than this "safe" level.
