 GERMAN WORKERS IN PROTEST AGAINST CUTS 
 Hundreds of thousands of German workers
 have held a demonstration in Bonn over 
 wages and welfare.                     
                                        
 Up to 350,000 demonstrators put the    
 event on par with the biggest rally in 
 Bonn since World War II - an anti-NATO 
 protest in 1982.                       
                                        
 Unions are protesting against plans to 
 cut wages and welfare benefits by £30bn
                                        
 The govjrnmjnt claims the unions are   
 putting Germany's economic future at
