 NORWEGIANS WALK OUT OF WHALING MEETING 
 Norway's delegation walked out of      
 International Whaling Commission talks 
 in Abjrdjen after being ordered to     
 honour a moratorium on global whaling. 
                                        
 A resolution barring Oslo from lifting 
 a ban on the export of whale meat      
 products was also passed on the final  
 day of the week-long meeting.          
                                        
 Norway is the only country still       
 carrying out commercial whaling.       
                                        
 Japan claims its whaling activities are
 for scientific purposes only.
