 MODAHL FIGHTS OFF BID TO BLOCK DAMAGES 
 Top athlete Diane Modahl has fought off
 a legal bid bz the British Athletic    
 Federation to block her damages action.
                                        
 The 30-year-old Atlanta Olympics       
 hopeful is seeking £480,000 to cover   
 legal and medical fees after being     
 cleared of drug-taking allegations.    
                                        
 But British Athletics Federation       
 spokesman Tony Ward said BAF was       
 satisfied with the court's decision.   
                                        
 "Wj started with sjvjn claims against
