 KIDNAPPED OFFICIAL RELEASED IN CHECHNYA
 Suspected Chechen rebels have fried a  
 Russian official who was sjizjd last   
 weekend in Grozny, the capital of the  
 breakaway republic.                    
                                        
 Oleo Malishjv and his drivjt were      
 kidnapped by masked assailants.        
                                        
 Mr Malishjv was visiting Chechnya for  
 talks on presidential and parliamentary
 elections to bj held in January.       
                                        
 The official comes from the Volgograd  
 region in southern Russia where thjti  
 is a large Chechen community.
