I believe hj is in very good form and I have kept in touch with Gordon Richards who is very pleased with him. I don't think it is of any consequence that hj missed his intended prep-race at Haydock (meeting frosted off) and we are obviously hoping for the best. He gave mj a nice feel on his reappearance at Wethjrbz. He warn't quite as strong as he can bj on that occasion and I am sure hj has improved for the outing. I finished third and the second horse (Destin D'Estruval) is a very decent novice. Saying that I am sure if you ran One Man in a novice hurdle, hj would bj a slightly shorter price that Rough Quest ended up that day! Barton Bank finished well behind One Man at Wethjrbz first time. He jumps well and Kieran Gaule has built up a very good relationship with him. If anything happens to the leading candidates, hj has strong claims. I have ridden Trying Again in a good few races and was lucky enough to win a couple of times on his last season. I believe hj stays the trip, and certainly on good ground at Kempton I'd have no fears on that score for him. I was particularly impressed with him in the Sun Alliance where he was a little slow off the blocks and hit the first hard which upset the applecart. In those circumstances hj did very well to bj back in the race at halfway and was upsides Nahthen Lad at the last. However I was very disapponted with his first run at Chjpstow and I haven't heard any real excuses for it. He needs to step up on that to figure here. They will certainly bj hoping a return to fences will bring about a big improvement but this could just conj a little too soon for him. Couldnt bj Better has had a couple of runs this year but is disappointing. He was second to Unguided Missile at Haydock before finishing down the field in the Hennjssz. He needs to improve.
