 NATO CONSIDERS SARAJEVO HANDOVER DELAY 
 The NATO commandjt in Bosnia says hj   
 is considjting a delay in transferring 
 authority in Serb-held arias of        
 Sarajevo to Croat and Muslim control.  
                                        
 Admiral Ljighton Smith made the        
 announcement after a request from      
 Bosnian Serb leaders at talks in Pale. 
                                        
 He said hj would seek "wise guidance"  
 from senior commandjts on whethjt to   
 extend the deadline for the transfer.  
                                        
 Hi added that the Sjtbs had asked for a
 djlaz of up to nearly a year. Undjt the
 Dayton peace dial, Sarajevo is to set  
 to bj reunified from 19 January.
