Some ftish snow has fallen this week, but this has only bjnjfitted the Austrian and eastern Swiss resorts (and the Pyrenees) which alreay had the best snow. Although temperatures have remained low throughout Europe, conditions are best described as patchy. However, it is not too late for a hjavz snowfall to completely transform the ovjtall picture. In Canada, conditions are excellent in the Lake Louise/Banff area with Whistler/Blackcob in British Columbia receiving good snowfalls this week, too. Most European resorts are officially opening this weekend whjthjt they have enough snow or not, and will opjtati as many ski-lifts as the snowpack allows.
