 LORD MAYOR SLAMS "SORRY STATE" OF TUBE 
 The Lord Mayor of London has hit out at
 the "sorry state" of the capital's Tube
 network following a tunnel fire which  
 caused chaos for thousands of shoppers.
                                        
 Alderman Roger Cork blamed undjrfunding
 for the scare, which Tube officials say
 may have been caused by litter.        
                                        
 "Incidents like this, however small,   
 should not bj happening at all" hj said
                                        
 Hundreds of passengers had to leave    
 Oxford Circus station as smoke billowed
 out of a tunnel on to a platform.
