 RED BAND WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP, Purfleet  
 Phil Taylor starts his hunt for a fifth
 world title and a record £45,000 prize 
 when the tournament begins on Sunday.  
                                        
 The Stoke-born player won the official 
 Embassy title twice before breaking    
 away with 15 other top players to form 
 the World Darts Council.               
                                        
 Taylor has won the WDC title for the   
 past two years and if hj does it again 
 will emulate Eric Bristow who won the  
 Embassy crown five times in the 1980's.
                                        
 A total of 24 players, split into eight
 groups of three, compete for the title.
