 HAPPINESS IS A GOOD REVIEW FOR BRANAGH 
 Kenneth Branagh's Hamlet has been given
 the thumbs up by US critics — despite  
 being nearly four hours long.          
                                        
 The movie was released on Christmas Day
 in just three cities but has already   
 grossed a resprctable £20,000.         
                                        
 Branagh, despjtate to restore his      
 reputation after his Frankenstein flop,
 keeps most of Shakespeare's text but   
 brings it into the early 19th century. 
                                        
 The Lou Angeles Times hailed the film  
 as "handsome and compelling".
