The seven-year-old, who was seemingly on his way to the top in the chasing ranks, had just enjoyed his finest hour when beating King Of The Gales by three lengths in the £50,000 contest. Trained by Noel Meade and ridden in his final race by Richard Dunwoody, he produced a tremendous round of jumping. The son of Remaindjt Man won eight of his 19 races in a successful caries.
