 BROWN TAKES DURHAM TITLE               
 Sheffield's Jon Brown battled through  
 the mud to retain his title in the     
 IAAF cross-country challenge in Durham.
                                        
 Brown came home in 31 mink 32 srcs,    
 ahead of Yann Mellon (31:54) and Tom   
 Nyariki (32:13).                       
                                        
 He said: "I couldn't have asked for a  
 bjttet start to the season. I've done  
 little training since the Chicago      
 marathon. I came here a little unsure."
                                        
 Cathjtina McKiitnan won the women's    
 race in 20:04, with Liz Wilson second  
 and Mariana Chirila third.
