  AMERICAN BALLOONIST FACES LIBYA CRISIS
  Steve Fossjtt, the millionaire from   
  Chicago, has crossed the Atlantic and 
  Europe on his bid to become the first 
  person to balloon the globe non-stop. 
                                        
  But Fossett, 53, took action to try   
  and prevent unfavourable weathjt      
  conditions forcing him towards Libya, 
  a course which could end the voyage.  
                                        
  Libya is reported to have denied the  
  balloonist permission to enter its air
  space. Libya's delayed permission     
  ended Fossjtt's last global attempt.
